Human reef in Mexico

These astonishing images show an extraordinary artificial reef off the east coast of Mexico made entirely from human statues.

The underwater installation has been created by British artist Jason de Caires Taylor who used real people to create the ‘life casts’ made from materials which encourage coral to grow. It is hoped the new sculptures will produce a coral reef system and attract a variety of aquatic creatures to the Cancun and Isla Mujeres National Marine Park.

It is surrounded by beauty, located in steep terraces planted with rice, and surrounded by ancient forests and hanging gardens. With breathtaking views from it´s two levels, it is like being suspended out above the valley. I will just Keep dreaming!

This would really be like living in Disneys 20,000 leagues under the sea.

According to the New York Times Poseidon is not the only underwater venture. Other projects include Hydropolis, a 220-suite hotel in Dubai, and the Shanghai Shimao Wonderland in Shanghai. However I cant find any real homemade videos or photos of this place so did it ever happen? However In the meantime, Richard Branson, the chief executive officer of Virgin Atlantic Airlines, is busy planning his space hotel. Talk about out there.

Summer beach hair trend

Just thought I would share with you all a hair trend I am loving at the moment…… a back braid bun!!

It is perfect for the beach keeping you cool whilst looking elegantly chic. I have to say it did look a little complicated but then I found this youtube clip from LuxyHair

hmm of course if you dont have time to be doing this on your holiday you can always wear a trusted sun hat at the beach! 🙂 x

We thought the only thing you could do with a bikini was wear it until we found this:

The Bikini Martini

Ingredients:

1 fluid ounce coconut rum
1 fluid ounce vodka
1 fluid ounce pineapple juice
a splash of grenadine

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together in a martini glass and enjoy!

We found adding a little bit more pineapple juice stopped us from falling off our seats
